"A. A. WOODLAND - A. A. Woodland died at his home east of Lockhart Sunday after an illness of a few days.
His body was buried in Jeffrey Grave Yard at McMahan Monday afternoon.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. R. Goodloe, pastor of the Clarks Chapel Methodist Church.
Mr. Woodland was 67 years of age and came to Caldwell County in 1869. He was a man of pleasant manner and had many friends. He was well known over the county, having served as deputy under different sheriffs.
He leaves a wife, six sons and two daughters to mourn his loss."
