DIED - Mrs. Tilmon Baker, Sunday morning at the home of her son J. W. Baker, and was buried the same evening in the Jeffrey cemetery at McMahan.
She was the mother of nine children eight of whom survive her, Bethel, John and Zeake of this place and John of Yoakum and four others who do not live in this county. For more than fifty years she was a devoted member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Baker lived to be quite old and was bedridden a long time previous to her death. She lived in this county half a century, and was a woman whom all respected and loved. Here was a busy and useful life doing good and scattering seeds of kindness, and she has now gone to her reward and is at home with the blessed.
