Van Horn, Lelia W.

Lelia W. (Bozarth) Van Horn
Born 7/6/1880
Died 7/1/1916
"DEATH ROBS A HOME OF MOTHER - On last Friday night, June 30, soon after the midnight hour, the soul of Mrs. Lelia Vanhorn, wife of Mr. Jim Vanhorn of Streetman, Texas, pierced the mystery dividing this world from the spirit world and passed at the age of 36 years to the great beyond.....
Mrs. Vanhorn was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. B. Bozarth of Dale. Her parents were natives of the old "volunteer" State of Tennessee, where they resided until the year 1891, when they moved to Texas, living in Lockhart, later moving to Dale.
Mrs. Vanhorn was married in 1900. She leaves a husband and four children. Mr. Vanhorn is section foreman in Streetman, Texas. He has the deepest sympathy of every one in his deep sorrow. And the highest tribute that can be paid him is that his every action during their married life was an act of devotion to his wife....
She was laid to rest in the Jeffrey Cemetery by the side of her father who six years ago had gone on before. Her funeral was attended by a large number of sympathizing friends.
Mrs. Vanhorn leaves behind to mourn her loss a mother and three brothers. May the Lord in His infinite mercy comfort and console the bereaved mother and brothers in the loss of Lelia, their only daughter and sister.
Her baby brother, Sam, in who she had the utmost confidence, is a Holiness preacher, giving his life to the Master’s service, warning others to prepare for the inevitable end.
The oldest brother, Robert, Lives in Hochheim, while the middle brother, Travis, lives with his mother at Dale. - A Sympathizing Friend"
