Linam, Jo Anna Ruth

Jo Anna Ruth (Hellums) Linam
Born 12/16/1874
Died 1/27/1911
Wife of J.M. Linam

Children:
1. Willie R Linam, b. 11/4/1897

"On Friday, Jan. 27, 1911, Mrs. J. M. Linam died at the hospital in San Antonio after a short illness. The body was brought to her home on Clearfork from where it was taken to the Jeffrey cemetery and laid to rest on Sunday at 2 p.m. Mrs. Linam was the only daughter of Mr. J. Hellums and was raised in the McMahan neighborhood. About fourteen years ago she was united in marriage to J. M. Linam. To this union six children have been born. This couple were justly popular and their friends are numbered by their acquaintances. There are many hard things in this life but it looks to us that one of the hardest things in life is to see the mother taken from the home in young or middle life leaving a family of small children to grow up without her love and care.
The same minister who officiated at the wedding (Rev. (sic) John Baker) also officiated at the funeral which was one of the largest ever held at the Jeffrey cemetery. Mrs. Linam was a consistent member of the Christian church and has gone to her reward.
The Register extends deepest sympathies to the bereaved ones."
