Grave is located on east side of large Oak Tree in cemetery. Notices of his death appear in the Lockhart Post-Register newspaper, March 6, 1924. The March 13, 1924 issue of the same paper contains a tribute given by county judge M. U. Smith to the congregation at the First Baptist Church in Lockhart. John White Baker was a minister of the Primitive Baptist Church, and a pastor of the Bethel P. B. Church at McMahan.
