"With a sad heart we record the death of our dear friend and neighbor, Mrs. W. T. Reed, which occurred the 11th inst. She had only been sick a few days with pneumonia when the all wise Creator saw fit to end her suffering. In her death the community has lost one of its most highly respected and truest women. All we can say is, dear husband and children, weep not for her. She leaves a husband and six children together with a host of friends and relatives to mourn her loss. She was laid to rest in the old Jeffrey cemetery the next evening."
