"ELDER W. Y. HAIRE - Elder Haire was born April 21, 1878 in Florida. He joined the Primitive Baptist Church at Georgetown, Texas in 1909 and was baptized by Elder. S. N. Redford. He was ordained to the full work of the ministry by Harmony Church near Bolivar, Missouri, the fifth Sunday in October 193-.
at the time of his death, December 4, 1963, he was a member of Mt. Zion Church at Nixon, Texas and had lived at Stockdale, Texas for the past fifteen years.
Elder Haire was elected Moderator of the Southwest Texas Association in July 1951 and served through July 1955.
He was truly a humble and faithful servant of our most high God."
