"Mr. Richard Cole Sr., affectionately called Uncle Dick, died at his home in McMahan early Thursday morning and was buried at the Jeffrey Cemetery at four o’clock in the afternoon of the same day. the funeral services were conducted by Elders Culpepper and Baker. Mr. Cole was one of the oldest citizens of our community. Every one who know him mourns the loss of this Christian gentleman."
